Forum Topics/Presenters –  

• Meghan Fitzgerald (Community Development Officer/ Solicitor) & Hui Zhou (Drug Outreach Lawyer) on behalf of Fitzroy Legal Service discussing the Involuntary detention & treatment under proposed new laws: The Severe Substance Dependence Treatment Bill 2009 – discussion focusing on raising awareness in relation to proposed changes to the law of relevance to the drug and alcohol sector, and asking workers their views and feedback.   
• Ilana Jaffe (Manager) from Youth Projects Living Room Primary Health Service. Discussing Living Room services and programs, the new doctor and nurses – what time’s they are available, how to access assistance, what support is provided.
• Tina Samaras (Team Leader) from Youth Projects Youth and Adult Northern Outreach Team (YNOT) discussing the outreach drug and alcohol counseling service available for people of all ages –how workers can refer clients of any age to this support who are residing in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, the assistance provided
• Oppurtunity for workers to discuss their programs/projects for the year ahead – advise other community workers what’s on for 2010.
